Niamh & Matt's Marquee Wedding | Yorkshire

What can I actually say about this wedding!! Quite possibly some of the most gorgeous people I've ever met all collected in one place; my job was made very easy this day :) The entire day was utterly beautiful and full of so much fun and so much joy. Thank you so much guys for inviting me along to capture it all for you. Niamh and Matt held their ceremony at Holy Souls Church in Scunthorpe and held their reception at Rookery Wolds Farm.

Here's the story of how Niamh and matt met:

"We celebrated our 10th anniversary in the hotel we spent our 1st anniversary – Melia White House Regents Park. Matt’s surprise was getting me to guess where we were going and I said all of what he’d planned for the proposal speech ‘how far we’ve come in 10 years’… .’remember when we got the tube and could have walked here…’ etc.

Matt proposed privately in the suite “because you’ve been nagging will you marry me”… response “are you joking?” Followed by copious amounts of champagne in the bar and skyping family, resulting in Niamh being sick and falling asleep whist Matt enjoyed our free desert and additional bottle of champagne watching family guy (how a lot of the early years were spent – me sleeping and matt watching late night tv with a beer!)"

Niamh's gown was a traditional gown from Jayne's Bridal in Doncaster. The detail in this dress was exquisite.

Niamh hair stylist was done by Rebecca McKenna and her make up was done by Pearl De Souza.

Church – Grannie & Grandads /Mum & Dad all married at Holy souls Church so this place was extra special to them.

Niamh & Matt first met in college.

"We met at John Leggott College in 2006, friends of friends and in similar lessons. We got together in 2007 after ‘my mate fancies your mate’ conversations at a party"

Bracelets & Earings (Bride & Bridesmaids) Oliver Bonas, Earings – Something borrowed – Mum,

Something old & blue – ring: Grandmas

Rosie & Jen (friend and mum) made the confetti.

This simple elegant boutique of flowers was created by Fountain Court Florist in Epwoth.

Crafting stationary – Matt designed and Niamh, Matt, Mary & Tom (Brother) folded, glued, strung, tied it all together.

Niamh and Matt choose this particular venue because it was exactly what they wanted

"A house to keep the party going, a garden for games and space for dancing. The Organised host was Katie."

These Lanterns were from my Grandads’ time on the railway.

Mary & Lorraine (Mums) Denise (Godmother) Hollie (Bridesmaid) – crafted all the jars.

My dearest friend Hannah hand drew all the table numbers of all the places Matt and Niamh have lived. The décor was all sourced from family and vases were from Australia as some relatives couldn’t attend.

Niamh and Matt are mostly looking forward a new chapter in their lives: "Continuing on the adventure together and hosting more amazing parties!"

Niamh's most memorable moment of the day was their first dance.

"All our closest friends and family around, but a moment for just the two of us"

The bride and groom danced to "How long will I love you" by Ellie Golding: The song was played live and they chose it because the song has beautiful words that summed them up as a couple.

Matt's most memorable moment of the day was the last dances.

"With Niamh, the dance floor was full of all our family and friends being so happy and in the moment with us"

"Relaxed and chilled on the day, we didn’t notice Shelley floating around getting the great reaction shots. She was firm when she knew the light was great to drag us away from the dancefloor (which was no easy feat) & she co-ordinated the videographer and on seeing the results in both photos and videos, was absolutely worth it."
